TIP
Tips for Doing Well on Exams
Test yourself before the exam.
Find out as much as you can about the exam.
Learn the teacher's testing habits.
During review, ask yourself questions you think might be on the test and try to answer them clearly (without looking first!).
Maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Be antisocial before an exam. (Do not discuss the exam with other nervous students just before the exam - if you have prepared there is no need.)
Read directions carefully.
Start with the easy questions.
Underline key words in the question.
Jot down initial ideas for essay questions - organize them before writing.
Leave extra space in answers to essay questions.
Check grammar and spelling.
Ignore what other students are doing - it is not a horse race.
Take YOUR time - it is your education.
Don't forget to use every test as a learning experience.
